What is the Muslim Justice Center?
About the Muslim Justice Center (MJC)
The Muslim Justice Center is a nonprofit organization (501c3) based in Connecticut, dedicated to defending civil rights, fostering community enrichment, and ensuring legal assistance for Muslims and those facing similar challenges. As one of the most diverse communities in the state, the Muslim population experiences a wide range of socio-economic, cultural, and religious dynamics. MJC is committed to addressing the unique concerns of this vibrant community in their pursuit of justice and equality.
At MJC, we believe in a world where Muslims and their allies are treated with fairness, free from the systemic and institutional discrimination that too many face. To achieve this, we coordinate legal support, organize educational and cultural programs, and advocate for civil rights to protect and uplift our community.
Our goal is to be more than just a legal resource; we aim to enrich and unite our community by organizing events that build strong bonds both within and outside the Muslim community. By engaging with other faiths and cultures, we promote understanding, encourage civic involvement, and create lasting relationships.
With a mission rooted in equity and advocacy, the MJC works diligently to ensure that every Muslim in Connecticut feels supported, secure, and at home. Together, we can build a future where justice is not only served but celebrated.
